Petra S Pearce - 1/26/15 Dallas-CMA Meeting

Petra S. Pearce, producer/writer/speaker/author has over 15 years of experience in advertising, television, and film. We are excited to have her on our panel, not only to speak about her film, Return to the Hiding Place, but also for her expertise on our topic for this month: "The Process and Impact of Independent Filmmaking and the Rise of Faith-based Films."

Petra is a successful producer of projects ranging from advertising to feature films to documentaries. She was the editor/producer for a documentary series called Heroes of the Faith, shortly after receiving her BS in TV and Film Production from TCU.shown internationally on over 2,000 television stations and went on to become a Senior Producer for Bromley Communications. There she produced commercial campaigns for several high-profile brands such as Reynolds Wrap, General Mills, Proctor and Gamble and others.


Now she has added producing independent films, included the highly honored award-winning feature film most notably receiving over 19 film, Return to the Hiding Place. Also, her book, Independent Filmmaking: Not for the Faint of Heart (A woman's perspective) is currently in progress, and is due for release in the fall of 2015. Looking forward to hearing what she has to share with us at the meeting!

Andy Librizzi is the owner of Pathlight Entertainment, a film production company, and of Image Engine Creative, a full service media production company for commercials, training videos, corporate videos, etc. Past clients include Visa, Palm Beach Tan and Seimens. Andy has been the recipient of a number of industry awards, including five Tellys and two Communicator Awards.

In addition, Andy is an accomplished playwright and an award-winning film director.
His stage plays have been produced throughout the United States and Canada. Recently, the acclaimed A.D. Players in Houston performed his romantic/comedy, The First Church of Texaco. He has written and directed several award-winning films including Holding On (Houston WorldFest Film Festival), Still Born (The 168 Film Festival), and his latest, Beyond the Farthest Star. He is currently working on the romantic comedy, The Boxer’s Garden.

Andy will be teaching a Screenwriter's Workshop on "The Alchemy of Screenwriting" from 1:30 - 3pm on Saturday, Oct. 18.
