Stronger

Master Sergeant Victor Raphael (Ulises Larramendi) is nearing the end of his military career when an explosion in Afghanistan leaves him injured. Back home, he is thrust into battle once again, but he hasn't been trained for this type of warfare. Physical rehabilitation is painful, and he has more to overcome than his physical injuries. His wife, Michelle (Angela Sweet), is distant, and their marriage seems to be held together only by her sense of duty.

Vic's first response is isolation, but that becomes a dead end. Feeling hopeless and alone, he is introduced to something new and uncomfortable---meeting in a community with others who have endured and survived some terrible things, with the scars to prove it, are brought into his life. It is easy to see that these unlikely heroes now live with a hope and purpose far beyond this life. Somehow, their trials have made them STRONGER. (from the website)

STRONGER is a faith-based film about a returning veteran's struggle with PTSD and his journey to find true healing in Christ. Executive Produced by Carla McDougal of Reflective Life MinistriesStronger was written and directed by Robin Murray. About the Film:
The award-winning feature Return to the Hiding Place reveals the powerful, untold true story of Corrie ten Boom’s secret student army. It’s an extraordinary full-length film about Dutch students who rose up in a time of cultural degeneration to take a stand against evil, even at the risk of their own lives, led by Corrie’s unshakable faith and assurance in her redeemer.

Never has a film been more timely and more perfectly executed to ignite the hearts, minds, and souls of youth today. In our test market, theaters sold out in every venue, and youth rose to their feet in applause at the film’s close. Even in secular film festivals, Return to the Hiding Place swept up awards for Best Feature, Best Directing, and Audience Choice. See the trailer and many other videos of interest at the Return to the Hiding Place YouTube Channel.

Return to the Hiding Place movie

www.hide-movie.com
Return to the Hiding Place is based on the true story of  Corrie ten Boom (Mimi Sagadin) and her realization that the Nazis will overtake Holland and create the destruction of every Jew. Her solution is to form an army comprised of untrained teenagers. When resistance fighter Piet Hartog (Craig Robert Young) witnesses atrocities toward the Jews, he is drawn by his beautiful love Aty (Rachel Spencer Hewitt) and her Aunt Corrie into the web of espionage and clandestine activities in the Hiding Place, where he joins brilliant young physics student and resistance journalist, Hans Poley (David Thomas Jenkins), embarking on a nonstop, action-packed hunt through underground tunnels, Gestapo hijacks, daring rescues, codes in windswept old windmills, and stunning miracles in one of history’s most famous dramas. Piet, Hans, and their friends navigate a deadly labyrinth of challenges to rescue God’s people in their modern-day panicked exodus from death. Climaxing in the true, breath-taking rescue of an entire orphanage of Jewish children marked for mass execution by Hitler’s assassins, audiences will both cheer and weep at this exciting, sobering tale. (from Facebook page)
