Tim Shields

Tim Shields has been Co-Director of Christian Media Association for 25 years. Since 1992 CMA (Christian Media Association) has been helping Christians in Media – Connect, Build and Grow their media ministries with Excellence!
The CMA started in 1992 with a vision to help Churches and Christians use media effectively. In the next many years the Lord helped us to quickly develop into an association for thousands of churches that use media. We developed numerous relationships with media and music ministers and enjoy praying with almost everyone who called our office. We love to pray for the needs of God’s people!
By 2003 we were holding media conferences across the US – teaching and networking Christians in Media (Jacksonville FL, Springfield MO, Washington DC, Arlington, TX) to name a few. And In 2003 we also expanded our focus to help all Christians in Media – with a new website address “christianmedia.org” and a new name “Christian Media Association®”.
In 2009 we started our first CMA Chapter in the North Dallas area – which quickly grew in numbers and testimonies of how CMA catapulted them into their God-given media destiny.
For 2014 – we held our First National Media Conference in the Dallas Area expanding our reach to connect media leaders.

Stan Jeter

Stan Jeter
TV/News/Spanish Media
Television & News Track
Stan Jeter is a Senior Producer and Editor with CBN News, a division of the Christian Broadcasting Network. In 1994 he founded and produced “ChristianWorld News” (CWN), a weekly TV news program, working with Regent University grad students. Today is viewed by audiences in the United States and around the world. In 2006 Stan launched a Spanish version of CWN, produced in Costa Rica. “Mundo Cristiano” is now seen throughout the Spanish-speaking world. He worked with international evangelist Luis Palau as Media Director for 13 years, producing two of his popular radio programs, call-in TV shows and documentary films. He traveled extensively in Latin America, and Europe with a couple of trips to Asia.

Over the years Stan has taught radio and TV production seminars in several countries, and more recently, in relation to COICOM, the Latin American equivalent of the National Religious Broadcasters in the U.S. He has also presented over a dozen TV and news workshops at NRB and organized two NRB “Bootcamps” for TV News.

On Friday and Saturday afternoons from 1-3:30, Stan will be teaching a workshop on "Christian News for a Mobile Audience".
Our cell phone and tablet-equipped audience is an enormous, moving target for any kind of programming, including news. How do we position ourselves to reach them? What production strategies will do the job? And what will happen as we fill the void of Christian news in the media? This session will show that we can meet these challenges and more.
