Carla McDougal

Carla McDougal is a Christian author, speaker, and film producer. Her  book, My Prayer Chair, won multiple awards in 2013 and is now available in Spanish. Sold Out: Live For Jesus, her latest book, was released in September 2015.

In 2008, Carla
founded the non-profit organization, Reflective Life Ministries. Her true passion is her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It humbles her to realize His love, grace, and mercy go beyond her understanding. She truly believes laughter is medicine from the Lord that breaks down walls and removes the masks in our lives. Over the years, God has taken her around the world to encourage others to live every day for Him.

In 2010, Carla founded Reflective Media Productions, a subsidiary of Reflective Media Productions. Their third movie called STRONGER—Healing for the Broken. Victory forthe Wounded is scheduled to premiere in May in the Houston, TX area with screenings to follow. Stronger is a faith-based film exploring a veteran’s battle with PTSD (PostTraumatic Stress Disorder) and shows the hope and healing through Jesus. Carla serves as the Executive Producer for the film.

Carla will be part of a Producers Panel – "What is Your Media Mountain?" on Sept 21, 2017. Producers will discuss their top challenges, obstacles and solutions. Reflective Life Ministries will be represented at Content17 as both a Sponsor and an Exhibitor.

Kitty Self

Kitty Self is the Assistant Producer for the Stronger movie. Her job is to help the producers, director, and videographer however she can. Sometimes it is providing a location for the scenes and providing food for the crew and cast when they are filming. Other times it involves editing written materials regarding the movie and its promotion. She has been with Reflective Life Ministries for nine years.

Kitty commented, "This movie about PTSD hits home because I was an Air Force brat and a Navy wife. Thankfully, my loved ones didn't experience the trauma so many men and women returning home from past or present wars did and still do. But, I am familiar enough with it to eagerly participate in the making of this film, which provides hope and encouragement to those broken, hurting men and women. The learning curve has been eye opening, especially the realization that many people outside of the military are going through their own debilitating trauma. We want this movie to bring awareness as well as hope in Christ."

Robin Murray

Robin Murray is the writer and director for the movie STRONGER. After researching the subject of Post Traumatic Stress and interviewing several people at different levels of recovery, she prayerfully wrote the script. As a result, STRONGER represents the real stories of veterans, first-responders, burn survivors, and more.

Her interest in writing began while working with her children and their friends, preparing skits for their yearly Variety Show. Robin wrote and directed "Angel in the Marble," a play performed by kids, for kids. The Lord has since moved her to write multiple skits that draw the audience to the heart of Biblical messages through both tenderness and humor. Just as Jesus taught with parables, Robin hopes to always tell good stories that make people smile, laugh, think, and, most of all, be encouraged.

Robin is a teacher and writer who lives in The Woodlands, Texas. She and husband, Kirk, have 3 adult children, whom she homeschooled. Robin is currently a writer, screenwriter, and production director for Reflective Life Ministries.
