It is around those three principles they structure their artwork, which they hope will inspire all. Rob Price serves as an assistant professor in the Communication Arts Department at Southwestern Assemblies of God University(SAGU) in Waxahachie, Texas where he teaches various digital media courses in TV/Film. He has authored and co-authored a combined eight screenplays, several full length stage plays and teaches writing courses at the collegiate level. Under his leadership as executive producer, student films at SAGU have won numerous awards at film festivals around the nation, including Best Screenwriting for Short Films at the Worldfest Film Festival (Houston, Texas).

On Friday afternoon, Rob will be teach the class, Mastering a Movie’s Beat Sheet: The Secret Structure to Successful Screenplays. This is an in-depth investigation and discussion of the 15 critical beats every aspiring screenwriter must know as described in Blake Snyder’s landmark book Save the Cat. The session will include a case study of how these screenwriting beats apply to the film The Devil Wears Prada.

Andy Librizzi is the owner of Pathlight Entertainment, a film production company, and of Image Engine Creative, a full service media production company for commercials, training videos, corporate videos, etc. Past clients include Visa, Palm Beach Tan and Seimens. Andy has been the recipient of a number of industry awards, including five Tellys and two Communicator Awards.

In addition, Andy is an accomplished playwright and an award-winning film director.
His stage plays have been produced throughout the United States and Canada. Recently, the acclaimed A.D. Players in Houston performed his romantic/comedy, The First Church of Texaco. He has written and directed several award-winning films including Holding On (Houston WorldFest Film Festival), Still Born (The 168 Film Festival), and his latest, Beyond the Farthest Star. He is currently working on the romantic comedy, The Boxer’s Garden.

Andy will be teaching a Screenwriter's Workshop on "The Alchemy of Screenwriting" from 1:30 - 3pm on Saturday, Oct. 18.
Merriam-Websters defines “alchemy” as the process of transforming something common into something special. In this class, we’ll discuss how to take something “common” — Courier #12 point words properly formatted on a computer screen — and transform them into “something special” … Your next compelling and wildly inspirational screenplay!
