Shane Reitzammer will be leading two workshops in the Content Creator Track on Sept. 20. See descriptions below.
WORKSHOP: HOW TO EDIT YOUR TRAILER FOR MAXIMUM EXPOSURE
In Part One we will analyze different target audiences and distribution models for trailers and how they should effect your editing process. We will examine different types of storytelling by viewing a few trailers and briefly discussing the effectiveness of each version. Finally, I will reveal my statistically based editing formula for trailers that will maximize your exposure and return on investment. In Part Two I will demonstrate a live edit of a promotional trailer explaining my selections and process. I will be working in Final Cut Pro X on a Mac so feel free to bring your laptop and follow along as this demo portion will be focused on beginners.
WORKSHOP: HOW TO SHOOT AND EDIT TESTIMONIALS AND CHURCH BUMPERS FOR BEGINNERS ON A LOW BUDGET
In Part Two I will demonstrate basic production techniques for do-it-yourself testimonial shoots including “on-a-low-budget” equipment required, setting up your shots, question format and the interview process. We will then explore how your target audience and distribution method will shape the edit of your testimonial to maximize your content’s exposure. In Part Two we will examine how you can create micro to no-budget church bumpers with basic editing software and the techniques I will teach through a live demonstration edit of a church bumper from start to finish using free editing software. Feel free to follow along and participate in the live edit. I will be using a Mac and the included iMovie software but I will translate as best as possible the techniques to Windows users.
